Description
The essential oil is called Umuthi Orange Bitter Pure and is derived from the same tree as Neroli and Petitgrain. It is a fresh, uplifting scent with a fruitier note than Sweet Orange. It is also a natural painkiller and diuretic. The essential oil blends well with other citrus oils and is safe for pets. There are some warnings about using the oil, such as not using it when you desire rest and relaxation and not using it during pregnancy.
The scent of Bitter Orange is cross between the sweetness of Sweet Orange and the bitterness of Grapefruit. The resultant scent is fresh and uplifting and much much fruitier than standard Sweet Orange. Bitter Orange is derived from the same tree as Neroli and Petitgrain and therefore shares many of Neroli's therapeutic properties.
